It seems KRIS HUMPHRIES was on such tenterhooks about proposing to KIM KARDASHIAN, he was as jittery as a June bug in springtime. Reports have come in that Kris wasn’t so sure about how to pop the question to a girl who seemed to have the best of everything, he had to call one of Kim‘s friends for advice.
We wonder why…
According to star news, Kris got on the phone with Jonathan Cheban (“Spin Crowd”). Jonathan says he was among the first people to know about it, even before Kim:
“I actually knew way before Kim, and kind of everybody else almost. I was actually coming off an airplane…Kris called me and said, “I think I want to ask Kim to marry me.’”
Cheban actually thought the NBA star was joking until Kris repeatedly convinced him it was for real. So he advised Kris to take his time and not to rush the whole deal. Advice which Kris took to heart, waiting it out, despite his pounding heart and knocking knees.
As we all know, it was all’s well that ended well, without Kim any the wiser. She came home to what she thought was an empty house, went upstairs to dress, and came upon her towering boyfriend on one knee, holding an armful of flowers , and with rose petals on his feet spelling out “Will you marry me?”
…and that is how Kim ended up with a $2 million rock on her finger.
