LADY GAGA is being sued for allegedly ripping off her own charity, which was created to provide relief for Japan after the devastating earthquakes that left the nation in ruins. According to reports, she’s being sued for $5million.
The latest celebrity news tells us that a class action has been filed against Lady Gaga for allegedly scamming money from her charity, which earned its funds from the “We Pray For Japan” wristbands. The people behind the lawsuit claim that the ‘Born This Way’ singer scammed the money that should have gone to the earthquake victims in Japan.
Ari Kresch of 1-800-LAW-FIRM says:
“I’m suing Lady Gaga simply to hold her accountable for giving the money that she was raising for charity to the cause that she was trying to raise it for.”
The wristbands were sold at $5, with an additional $3.99 for shipping and handling, as well as $0.60 for taxes. The Michigan-based firm claims that Gaga puffed up the cost and pocketed the extra money. They also said that the singer declined how much of the money from the sale actually went to the earthquake victims.
If these claims turn out to be true, then Gaga is a dirty crook—and a callous one at that, because the people she’s really stealing from are not the ones who bought her wristbands, but the victims who were supposed to receive the money!
Why would she even need that money, anyway? She’s plenty rich without needing to resort to criminal activity!
Do you think these claims about Lady Gaga could in fact be true?
