After seven years, PARIS HILTON has finally opened up about her scandalous sex tape, which was made public by her ex-boyfriend back in 2004. The hotel heiress, who became extremely famous—or maybe infamous is the better word?—after the videotapes of her sexual trysts were made public, went on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight and revealed her feelings about the whole thing.
In a joint interview with her mother, Kathy Hilton, Paris opened up to CNN host Piers Morgan and told him how devastated she was when her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon sold her out and released their sex tapes, under the name ‘1 Night In Paris’.
The socialite, who became the main topic of celebrity news for a very long time after the scandal, says:
“I just felt so betrayed, this was not just some random guy, this was someone I was with for a few years.”
During the interview, Paris was asked if she was ever in love with Rick:
“I thought I did, and I can’t believe that he would do something like that to me. It’s something that changed my life forever.
Paris also shares how the release of her sex tape dashed her childhood dreams:
“When I was a little girl I looked up to these people like Princess Diana and these women and I think and he took that away from me. This is not what I planned, I didn’t want to be known as that.
Now when people look at me they think I’m something I’m not just because of one incident one night with someone I was in love with.
People assume, ‘Oh she’s a slut,’ just because of one thing that happened to me. It’s hard because I’ll never…I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life and explain it to my children, it’s something that has changed my life forever and I’ll never be able to erase it.”
Her mom, Kathy, eventually started crying and asked to take a break. She said:
“It doesn’t go away, it will always be there.”
At the start of the interview, Paris also revealed how she felt at the onset of the scandal:
“I was in shock, I had no idea. We were in Australia when I heard the news that someone had been sent a clip to one of the entertainment shows. I didn’t believe it at first and then when I landed back in LA is when I saw what happened.
It was the most embarrassing and humiliating thing that’s ever happened in my life… I was so embarrassed to even call her (Kathy) and tell her about it.”
And how did it affect their family? Kathy explained:
“It’s all a fog right now and it was a very difficult time. To keep her home for three months straight, you know it had to be embarrassing.
She would not leave the house. We lived in New York so wherever you go there are those boxes with the newspapers, with the NY Post, the Daily News.. and it was constantly sitting at the front of the reception desk.
We had therapy and I think that that really helped. I didn’t know what to say so that’s why I reached out for professional help. The whole family was affected.”
Paris and Kathy added:
“It’s something that we don’t talk about I try not to think about it.”
After everything she and her family have been through, we’re pretty sure Paris has learned her lesson. Hopefully, she will NEVER make a sex tape again. EVER.
