PETER FALK Died
Hollywood legend PETER FALK has passed away. He died last night at his home in Beverly Hills, June 23, 2011; he was 83. FALK is best known for his TV role as police detective Columbo.
His family issued a statement last night, Falk “died peacefully at his Beverly Hills home” on Thursday, June 23, 2011.
According to his daughter, Catherine Falk, the actor had been suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
One thing a lot of us might not know of Lieutenant Columbo. According to celebrity news, Falk wore a glass eye for most of his life as his right eye was surgically removed when he was only three because of a retinoblastoma. Despite this, Falk played a lot of baseball and basketball as a kid.
