Celebrity news tells us that Grammy award-winning singer PRINCE isn’t happy that ‘Glee’ covered one of his songs. Uh… then why did he give them permission to cover it in the first place?
Prince simply isn’t a fan of people replicating his art. The singer says:
“There’s no other art form where you can do that.”
‘Glee’ recently covered Prince’s hit song “Kiss”—performed by Matthew Morrison and guest star Gwyneth Paltrow—during one of the latter episodes from Season 2. However, Prince is not happy about it. He says:
“You can’t go and do your own version of Harry Potter. Do you want to hear somebody else sing Kiss?”
In the past, ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy has been very vocal about his contempt for musical artists who don’t allow their songs to be covered on the show. He has already gotten into a verbal war with Slash, Kings of Leon, and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters.
How do you think Ryan will respond to Prince’s words?
