Hollywood news tells us that BEN AFFLECK reportedly helped former fiancée JENNIFER LOPEZ with her collapsing marriage to MARC ANTHONY. Ben was approached for help by J.Lo’s mom, Guadalupe Lopez, and the actor gladly obliged.
Ben and Jennifer—famously called “Bennifer” during the time they were dating—called off their engagement back in 2004 and have since married other people. However, it seems that Ben will always be there for her.
According to reports, Guadalupe contacted Ben via email earlier this month to ask him for help regarding Jennifer’s failing marriage. A source says:
“Guadalupe reached out to Ben over email. She wanted advice for Jennifer… She always liked and trusted him. [Ben] replied back on email, wished her well and offered what he could.”
A few days after Ben and Guadalupe’s email exchange, Jennifer and Marc announce their separation. The source claims:
“It was a very bad marriage, and Jennifer got the courage to end things… [Marc] was a terrible husband.”
According to Us Weekly, the factors that contributed to the failure of the marriage were Marc’s alleged jealousy of Jennifer’s career, his controlling attitude towards her business ventures and wardrobe choices, and his affair with an unknown woman back in 2009.
The insider adds:
“[Jennifer] actually has low self-esteem… And Marc really played into that insecurity. That’s why she put up with his abuse for such a long time.”
