DANIEL RADCLIFFE opens up about his secret battle with alcohol. In a stunning, candid revelation, the Harry Potter star says he was so reliant on alcohol to enjoy the stuff and his choice of booze: whiskey.
According to the latest Hollywood gossip, Rancliffe sat down with British GQ and talked about his previous booze battle:
“I became so reliant on alcohol to enjoy stuff,” he said. “There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.”
The young actor said he hid it so well from the media and his fans; and he was lucky not to have been photographed during one of his booze-fueled nights out on the town.
Not to worry, Daniel has gone cold turkey since August 2010 when he realized he had a problem.
“I’m actually enjoying the fact I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I’m really pleasant and I’m not f***ing up totally all the time.”
“As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn’t work for me,” he told GQ.
It’s so cool of him to admit, isn’t it? We all fail along the way, don’t we?
