According to the latest entertainment news, ‘Glee’ star AMBER RILEY believes that she will be the next actor to get the axe from the hit musical show. Since she was one of the very first members of McKinley High’s New Directions—much like Lea Michele’s Rachel Berry, Cory Monteith’s Finn Hudson, and Chris Colfer’s Kurt Hummel—it’s quite likely that she will be exiting the show as well.
In a recent interview, Amber admits:
“I may not be coming back for a fourth season… Who knows? Whatever happens this third season is what happens, and I think everybody’s OK with it. I love my job to pieces, but when it’s time to go, it’s time to go and, hopefully, there are greater things on the horizon.”
Like her co-stars, Amber did not find out about the casting changes from ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy himself. So how did she find out? She says:
“Like everybody else did — on the Internet.”
Amber adds:
“But it’s something that’s not that surprising to us… People think it’s such a scandal when, really, it’s not. I think it’s smart to have new students come in, and I’m really excited.”
All in all, Amber shares that she is happy and grateful for everything ‘Glee’ has given her—especially the “role model” image that her character, Mercedes Jones, puts out. She says:
“I want to really be a role model… I’ve been kind of put in that place, so I’m choosing to take it and go with it.”
Is this piece of news another crushing blow for all you ‘Glee’ fans?
