‘Glee’ Stars LEA MICHELE, CORY MONTEITH, And CHRIS COLFER Will Be Leaving The Show After Season 3
According to the latest entertainment news, ‘Glee’ stars LEA MICHELE, CORY MONTEITH, and CHRIS COLFER are definitely going to be leaving the show after Season 3. But seriously, what will ‘Glee’ be without Lea’s stardom-obsessed character, Rachel Berry?
‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy says:
“You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”
Lea and Chris have already been told and both completely agree with Ryan’s decision. He reveals:
“I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea… They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top.”
Ryan adds:
“I’m much more interested in Lea‘s character — not so much on her relationship with Finn, but more on what her dreams are beyond high school and how she plans on getting them… That’s what my senior year was about.”
Cory hasn’t been informed yet, but Ryan is certain that the actor won’t be too stunned about the news. He says:
“He knows he was a sophomore when the show started.”
Despite announcing that most of the show’s original characters will be leaving the show after they “graduate,” Ryan hasn’t revealed any more details about who’s going to stay. But he does give us a hint:
“More characters are leaving than are staying.”
