‘Glee’ stars LEA MICHELE and CHRIS COLFER have revealed their thoughts on the recent announcement of their departure from the show after Season 3, and it seems that, despite keeping a good face one, they seem to be pretty sad about the news.
In his latest interview, ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Lea and Chris, as well as their castmate Cory Monteith—who plays star quarterback Finn Hudson—would be graduating in the third season.
When asked about this recent bit of entertainment news, Chris admits:
“I didn’t necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year… I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can’t be there forever.”
He adds:
“I would love to see him walking off to the sunset with an internship at Vogue,” the actor said. “That’s where he’s headed. That’s what I would like.”
Though he seems to have come to grips with Ryan’s decision, Chris admits that he hopes to be called in as a guest star in future seasons:
“I’m hoping I can be like Farrah Fawcett, a laCharlie’s Angels, and come back in the fifth episode… Or I can be like Batgirl in the Batman series, where there’s a symbol in the opening credits and you know they’re in it.”
Meanwhile, Lea took to Twitter to voice her thoughts on the matter:
“We always knew we’d graduate in real time. It’s all part of the plan and it’s all good… It’s going to make Season 3 amazing! This is just the beginning!”
Do you think ‘Glee’ can still be as big as it is now when heavy-hitters Lea and Chris are gone?
