As the new “X Factor Australia” judge, Mel B. was asked to judge a gamut of voices played from audio tapes based on how good they were without knowing the identity of the singers. Needless to say, star news clearly heard the ex-spice girl say this about the Material Girl:
“That was a karaoke kind of drunken laugh,”
she announced matter-of-factly. And how did she judge the world’s most powerful and perpetually costumed celebrity? Mel B. simply shrugged and told her radio hosts the piano ballad Lady Gaga sung was…
“not her cup of tea.”
When presented however, with a recording of her 18-year-old self in a Spice Girl tune, she gave it a big thumbs up.
And they made her an “X Factor” judge?!
