Hollywood news tells us that ROBERT PATTINSON is going to be playing a gold-digging manwhore in his new movie, ‘Bel Ami.’ The ‘Twilight’ star says goodbye to the handsome, sparkling gentleman that was the vampire Edward Cullen, and says hello to a very different type of character—one who manipulates and seduces women for money.
‘Bel Ami’ is based on Guy de Maupassant’s novel, and it follows the rise to wealth and power of Rob’s character, Georges Duroy, a poor man who goes to Paris and seduces three wealthy women—played by Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, and Kristin Scott Thomas.
In a recent interview, Uma praised her dashing co-star Rob:
“He’s incredibly concrete in his presence on the set and obviously very handsome.”
She adds:
“He’s a very nice person and he’s sensitive… He’s present. He’s a really good actor.”
‘Bel Ami’ will hit theaters later this year.
