In a career move that’s a far cry from her usual glamor pics and “hacked” naked cellphone photos, VANESSA HUDGENS has agreed to go through a shocking make-under for her new role in a movie where she plays a homeless pregnant teenager.

Celebrity websites took a gander at Vanessa‘s Facebook page where there’s a picture of her sporting chopped-off greasy hair, no make-up, face piercings, drab clothing, and a good 10 pounds more of weight.
The former Disney “High-School Musical” star will be playing a teenager from the good part of town who runs away and becomes homeless after her authoritarian father, played by a very unlikely Brendan Fraser, orders her to terminate her teen pregnancy.
Vanessa is taking a huge risk in terms of career directions here, joining the ranks of other Hollywood stars who’ve agreed to uglify themselves for roles – a bow to you Nicole Kidman (“The Hours”), Charlize Theron (“Monster”), Angelina Jolie (“Girl Interrupted”), Cameron Diaz (“Being John Malkovich”), Salma Hayek (“Frida”), Hilary Swank (“Boys Don’t Cry”), and lets not forget the skeletonized Christian Bale (“The Machinist”).
Will Vanessa‘s bid for an Academy Award hold a candle to any of these seasoned A-list stars above?
