Here’s the most twisted celebrity news we’ve encountered recently: a woman correctly predicted when AMY WINEHOUSE would die, and now she’s won a prize. Yes, a prize—for predicting a person’s death. How sick can you get?
There’s a website that has been around since 2007—the same year Amy got hospitalized for overdosing on a cocktail of various drugs—and it’s primary purpose was to take people’s guesses on when Amy would die. The one who guessed correctly would receive a brand spanking new iPod Touch and would be crowned Mr. or Mrs. Death.
We know a lot of people—even Amy’s mother—believed that the “Rehab” singer might not live a long life due to her destructive lifestyle, but actually taking bets on it is just really SICK.
Two days after Amy’s tragic passing, the site posted a note:
“Since we launched this site we’ve had hundreds of thousands of hits, 237 hate mails telling us we’re the devil in disguise and 96,026 people who left their predictions.”
The evil creeps added:
“Out of all those entries only 4 were correct. The first person to do so did it on December 21st 2007 and we’ve called her the winner of the iPod Touch. We will be contacting her via email.”
How nice. Maybe it’ll come loaded with all of Amy’s songs.
