Hollywood news has learned that ADAM SANDLER is being accused of doing the “dine and dash” at a small Italian restaurant in Massachusetts. Now why would he do that when he has a ton of money?

Did Adam develop some sort of weird, food-related kleptomania addiction? No, not really. Apparently, this is some sort of publicity stunt on the part of the restaurant owner, who’s looking to ride on Adam’s coattails for a bit of extra exposure.

According to reports, Adam is currently filming his latest movie in Peabody, Massachusetts, and last month, his production company got this Italian restaurant—A Taste of Italy—to cater meals for the movie’s cast and crew. The deal went smoothly—the restaurant came through with the food, and Adam’s company paid them.

Done. Case closed!

Or not? Now, the owner of A Taste of Italy is claiming that Happy Madison Productions, Adam’s company, asked him to stock up on food for two barbecues that they were throwing, but never called him afterwards. This left him with $2,500 worth of food that was never paid for.

In retaliation, the owner put up the sign on his restaurant, which says:

ADAM SANDLER ATE HERE AND NEVER PAID.”

Reps for Adam’s company have been reached, and they claim that they never made any promises for future catering deals, and they never mentioned anything about having A Taste of Italy cater two barbecues for them.

Also, TMZ has learned that the comedy actor didn’t have a single bite of the food from A Taste of Italy, and now he probably never will.
