“Mr. Bean” actor ROWAN ATKINSON cheated the Grim Reaper when he nearly died in a car crash near Cambridgeshire earlier today. Atkinson lost of control of his high-powered McLaren F1 supercar which spun around several times before careening off a tree and lamp post and catching fire.
Entertainment news says the English comedian managed to escape the vehicular inferno before another motorist guided him to the side of the road to recover. Atkinson was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment of a minor shoulder injury.
“The car was a wreck, really badly damaged. Rowan must be absolutely gutted.”
A source said of the car nut who owns a large vintage car collection.
“It’s a miracle that he managed to walk away from the crash. He’s a very lucky man.”
Good thing Atkinson survived. We’ll not be having any hilarious new Mr. Bean movies, else.
