Hollywood rumors are saying Blake, who had just recently split from “Gossip Girl” co-star Penn Badgely at that time, didn’t like the idea of being single, so bought herself the best-selling dating manual The Rules, picked a hot A-lister – in this case, Leo, and got a-crackin’…
If you’re wondering what The Rules are, its a compilation of dating tips which puts a lot of emphasis on “maintaining distance and a sense of mystery.” Targeted primarily at women, it advices them to appear “busy” and not call or text the guy, but to wait for them to call instead.
So it was a good old case of playing hard to get on Blake‘s part.
“Blake loves dating book The Rules and has been following it to the letter. She knew Leo could have any girl he wanted and she figured she had to stand out from the crowd.”
A friend says.
“Blake told him he had to break up with Bar before she’d even go on a date with him, so he did. She’s making him work for it – and he’s fallen hard for her.”

That’s seriously bad. Or good, if you think about it from another standpoint.
So we’re going on down to the bookstore now to grab our copy of The Rules before everybody else rushes in and cleans it out.
