Hollywood news tells us that CAREY MULLIGAN is engaged to boyfriend MARCUS MUMFORD… after only five months of being together! Kind of jumping the gun there, aren’t they?
Or maybe not? Carey and Marcus were apparently pen pals back when they were kids, and even after not talking for so long, the two still managed to hit it off during their first reunion since they lost touch—and now they’re getting married!
Carey and Marcus went from long lost friends to happily engaged lovers in only five months. The couple started dating after Carey went to see a secret Mumford & Sons show in Nashville with her then-rumored boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal. An insider shares:
“At the end of the night there were just the musicians, Jake, Carey, and the Mumford boys… We had some pizza, and just played music. Jake picked up a guitar and Carey joined in on ‘Amazing Grace.’ Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly.”
A friend says of Carey and Marcus:
“They’re a great couple… Very sweet.”
Now we wonder how Carey’s ex, Shia LaBeouf, feels about her recent engagement? The former couple went their separate ways back in 2010 after dating for over a year.
