Yes, that’s right. DEMI LOVATO and JOE JONAS are friends again! After a year of not talking, the ex-couple has finally decided to put their painful past behind them and become friends.
Demi and Joe are back on friendly terms, but with the way their breakup went, it seemed like they would never get there.
The “Camp Rock” stars’ relationship came to an abrupt end back in 2010 after only a few months of dating, and although the two told celebrity news that they would remain close friends, that wasn’t what happened.
After breaking up with Demi, Joe started dating “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene, which was fine since he was single again at the time. However, as if to add buckets of salt to Demi’s far-from-healed wounds, the “Jonas Brothers” singer decided to bring his new squeeze on tour with him… and Demi. It was widely speculated that this was one of the main causes of the “Skyscraper” singer’s meltdown, which eventually led to her checking herself into rehab.
So really, how can you even consider being friends with a guy who dumps you and then forces you to watch him and his new girlfriend gallivanting around and looking all happy together? Could any girl forget something like that?
Well, apparently Demi can. In a surprising move, she tweeted at Joe yesterday:
“@joejonas Yayy! We won :)”
To which Joe tweeted back:
”Wow! @ddlovato Congrats dem! Super awesome!!”
In case you didn’t know, they’re talking about their win at the 2011 Do Something Awards. The former couple won the Charity Song award for their duet, “Make A Wave.”
