HILARY DUFF and her ice-hockey player husband MIKE COMRIE celebrated their first wedding anniversary this weekend with the announcement that they’re pregnant with their first baby that’s due out early next year.
Celebrity news is happy for the two, but won’t this pregnancy derail the “Lizzie McGuire” star’s career even further? It’s not as if she’s been working constantly these days, but having a baby will push her further back under the radar in publicity-hungry Hollywood…
Unless of course Hilary decides to star in a reality show documenting each phase of her pregnancy, including morning sickness, food cravings, hemorrhoids, ginormous weight gain, and bloated feet. And then have her labor pains and birth caught on film, as well. Won’t that be something…we don’t think that’s ever been done on reality TV before – nine whole months of publicity up for grabs.
Still, knowing Mike Comrie, we don’t think that’s going to happen. Let’s just congratulate the pair and step back for the next 9 months, and maybe they’ll eventually emerge in the public eye with a birth announcement and a bizarre celebrity name for their little bub…

Are you serious? her career? Going to estimate she is fairly happy with her career. she’s not stuck like lohan et al. She is a novelist writing books (NY best seller ain’t easy with a celeb unless it’s an autobio). now is the perfect time to start having kids. She has less traveling etc going on now. And who said she wants to be a tab target? she probably wants that to be the farthest thing. They are 2 down to earth people not like j lo etc.
