KATY PERRY gave “Friday” singer REBECCA BLACK a boost to her career by inviting Rebecca onstage to sing with her on the Los Angeles leg of her California Dreams tour.
And what did they sing?
Why, “Friday”, of course.
California girl Rebecca Black, infamous popular for the millions of views her inane YouTube song garnered, lent her very casually dressed presence and reedy voice to Katy‘s show.
Fun, fun, fun…
Entertainment news wonders why Katy‘s so gung-ho on giving Rebecca a leg up when she so clearly eclipsed the teenager onstage, not only with her outrageous hot pink leotard, but with her superior vocals.
Still, it must’ve been Rebecca‘s dream come true, and clearly spelled a Katy Perry thumbs-up for the 14-year-old’s latest single, “My Moment”. And as Katy put it to the Nokia Theater concert crowd:
“That was our moment,”
and also
“Damn it, I love the Internet!”
