British designer JOHN GALLIANO is in trouble again for spouting racist rants at a bar in France, and he’s been fined $8,428 (£5,268) for his drunken tirade. Galliano, who was dropped as head designer by fashion house Christian Dior for making an anti-Semitic outburst in February, is going all out this time. What has he got to lose now anyway? Apart from his tattered reputation and more money, that is…
Celebrity news saw a video earlier this year of Galliano harassing some Italian women in a Paris bar in December 2010, hurling anti-Semitic insults, and yelling:
“I love Hitler… People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers would all be fucking gassed.”
His rant was even made the subject of a parody on Saturday Night Live. Such was the publicity that Dior had him suspended, and subsequently fired him from his cushy job, leaving him to face criminal charges for his drunken diatribe.
Galliano disappeared from public eye for a while, presumably to go on rehab for his drinking. But now he’s resurfaced and has gone back to his old ways. Maybe he and Mel Gibson should together, form a club or something. Then he won’t feel so alone in this world…
