MADONNA Disses LADY GAGA!
Celebrity gossip websites are about to feast on a possible superstar feud… because MADONNA has just dissed LADY GAGA! Mother Monster has been very vocal about her obsession with the Material Girl, but the latter just isn’t buying it.
During a recent interview with a French newspaper, Madonna was asked to comment on Gaga’s obsession with her—to which the Queen of Reinvention replied:
“As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment to make about her obsessions having to do with me because I don’t know whether her behavior is rooted in something deep and meaningful, or superficial.”
When asked about the diss, Madonna’s rep, Liz Rosenberg had no immediate response. However, in what seemed to be a feeble attempt at damage control, she said:
“I do know that [Madonna] has said many supportive things about Gaga over the years.”
Meanwhile, requests for comment on Madonna’s interview were sent to Gaga’s camp, but no response has been made… yet. In fact, we’re not even sure if the Mother Monster has been informed of her idol’s diss. But, either way, it would definitely suck for her.
Following her release of “Born This Way,” Gaga came under fire and was accused of copying Madonna‘s “Express Yourself.” However, the eccentric popstar claimed that she received an email from Madge‘s people, which said that the Material Girl actually liked the song. Gaga then said:
“You know, there is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me… I am the hugest fan personally and professionally.”
But here’s the thing: Madonna‘s reps later denied sending any such email to Gaga‘s camp.
Ouch… we don’t really know how it would feel to get dissed by your biggest idol, but we’re pretty sure it’s no picnic.
