MILEY CYRUS recently shed her oversized plaid shirts and trashy hot pants for serious grown-up glamor at a Prestige photo shoot where she ranted about not understanding her haters. Looking at Miley here, we don’t get it either. Why all the hate, indeed?
Celebrity news gazed in awe at the new sophisticated Miley on Prestige’s new issue and marveled at how well she cleaned up in haute coutoure, giving off an old world Hollywood vibe. Which brings us to the issue of her haters, and the fact that Miley‘s grown up, leaving her “Hannah Montana” fans stuck in the twilight zone and complaining bitterly.
“I’m a great role model, or I’m completely inappropriate for anyone under 13, and I am controversial. I don’t know how I became this,”
Miley explains.
“I’m not some crazy lady who’s gone off the deep end, because I definitely haven’t. I just always try to be real. Every 18-year-old explores sexuality and experiments and tries things. For me there’s no reason to change that.”
It seems life does move on, and so did Miley. Pretty quickly though it seemed to a lot of people.
“Who I am now is very different from who I was when I was 11. I had to grow up extremely quick. When you live in LA you see a lot.”
Whether everyone likes it or not, Miley‘s set on becoming her own person, sans bra and with a growing collection of tattoos, and no one’s going to dictate her new grown-up life and the way she lives it. Least of all her haters.
