“Modern Family” star ARIEL WINTER dropped jaws when she stepped out in a cleavage-baring dress for the Emmy Awards. Is it an inappropriate choice for a girl her age?
Ariel, who plays geeky younger daughter Alex Dunphy on “Modern Family,” is causing some serious buzz on celebrity gossip websites after she debuted a startlingly mature look on the red carpet. The young actress showed up in a baby pink floral halter gown with a keyhole neckline that showcased some serious cleavage.
So why is everyone freaking out? Well, Ariel is only 13 years old… and she’s wearing a dress that looks like something the well-endowed Sofia Vergara, who plays Ariel‘s TV grandma, would wear.
However, she insists that the dress was age-appropriate. She told Us Weekly:
“I thought it was very youthful, yet mature because it has the flowers and it’s blush pink… I have a sort of body in a way that you can’t really put a dress like this without it looking older and more mature, so it’s kind of not my fault!”
The “Modern Family” star added:
“The color is amazing. Now it fits me very well and I feel really good in it and I think that was the biggest thing for me… I know when I feel great in something that it is going to look great.”
