According to recent celebrity news, “Modern Family” star SARAH HYLAND has sparked a feud with LEA MICHELE after mocking her over-the-top red carpet poses on E!’s “Fashion Police.”
During her appearance on “Fashion Police,” Sarah was asked to imitate Lea’s exaggerated poses, and she did. As the 20-year-old arranged her body to replicate Lea’s fierce signature red carpet pose, she explained:
“So it’s like a slow-motion picture kinda thing. It’s just like, she puts her hands on her hips like this and sticks out her collarbone—I don’t know if you can see—she sticks out her collarbone to make her look skinnier and she goes [pouts lips] sticks out her lips.”
Predictably, Sarah brought the ire of Gleeks everywhere upon herself after her playful mocking of Lea’s poses and received a lot of hateful comments on Twitter. Meanwhile, the “Glee” diva herself admitted that she didn’t find Sarah‘s imitation of her at all funny. She told Us Weekly:
“I gotta be honest. It hurt my feelings a little bit… I really think the message of today is that women should motivate and empower women, and so that’s why I’m honored to be a part of today.”
The “Modern Family” star later tweeted:
“I did not intend for my comments to be taken in a malicious way. But I did hate [Lea’s] dress. Called her ass great. Did you all hear that one?”
She added:
“Congrats Lea. You know how to work the red carpet. I can’t take it as seriously as you. That’s all I wanted to show on FP. It’s strange to me… I can’t take myself that seriously. I don’t like the red carpet. I feel silly. So props to her for knowing what she’s doing and enjoying it.”
Then, rather defiantly, Sarah again tweeted:
“But I won’t apologize. I’m an outspoken person. I own what I said about that outfit. And I mimicked what I saw with my own two eyes.”
