SCARLETT JOHANSSON gave another stab at her singing career, but her new music video looks like a champagne ad for Moet & Chandon, strangely enough, considering the song she’s singing is all about “Bonnie and Clyde”.

The music video was probably shot just before ScarJo dyed her hair red again to reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow in “The Avengers,” and entertainment news did try mighty hard to entertain itself listening to her soft breathy tones as she dueted with an unseen man, while in the background, Scarlett cavorted with all manner of champagne bottles…

Hasn’t she learned her lesson from her critically panned “Anywhere I Lay My Head” in 2008?

And what does champagne have to do with a song based on Depression-era fugitive Bonnie Parker’s poem, “The Trail’s End?” We don’t really think Bonnie and Clyde swam in buckets of champagne given it was the Great Depression and the Prohibition period to boot.

In any case, the tune ScarJo‘s singing in her own version of sultry is a remake of the same song sung by Lulu Gainsbourg and sex siren Brigitte Bardot for the 1967 movie “Bonnie & Clyde” starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

Is Scarlett Johansson vying for Bonnie’s role vacated by Hilary Duff who was kicked out of the current remake because of her pregnancy? If so, we sincerely hope she doesn’t do any singing in the movie…
