“True Blood” star JOE MANGANIELLO and his fiancée AUDRA MARIE have split up. Seems we have another case of real life imitating art, as Joe’s character on “True Blood,” werewolf Alcide Herveaux, also broke up with his werewolf girlfriend prior to the season finale.
Reports tell us that Joe and Audra have called it quits after less than a year of being engaged. A friend confirms:
“It’s totally over.”
Another source close to the couple tells Us Weekly:
“It was a long time coming. They’ll both be better off for it.”
The hunky “True Blood” actor and his actress/model fiancée dated for a year and a half before getting engaged—Joe popped the question in October last year, while they were on vacation in Italy.
After they announced their engagement, Joe told Hollywood news:
“I always dreamed of finding someone who is beautiful and sweet, equal parts. And I did. From there she’s just unbelievably understanding and compassionate and patient from all the craziness that comes from this job and lifestyle.”
However, a few months later, Joe still hadn’t set a wedding date—but this did not deter Audra. She went ahead with the planning, and even chose a wedding dress. A source reveals:
“He [went] completely quiet about discussing wedding details… He [was] clearly having reservations.”
This is really sad… but “True Blood” fan girls must be screaming their heads off right now. Another hottie from the show is single—first Alexander Skarsgard, who split with girlfriend Kate Bosworth a few months ago, and now Joe.
