A younger and formerly unknown LADY GAGA who just moved to L.A., went and got a lower back tattoo from then “Miami Ink” reality star KAT VON D at her studio. This was way before the launch of her debut album “The Fame” which catapulted her to Mother Monster stardom, and she came in wearing blue hot pants and an early ancestor of one of the many wigs she wears today…
Who would’ve thought that the 22-year-old Gaga would eclipse even Kat Von D’s fame not three years from that very date. But what would a budding musician do upon moving to L.A. if not to get a tattoo from Kat Von D, who then held the Guinness World Record of the most tattoos given by a single person in 24 hours, at her High Voltage Tattoo shop.
“I’m a singer and also a songwriter for other artists,”
Gaga told Kat Von D who’d been working away on her lower back.
“I worked with New Kids on the Block last night, it was rad!”
Clearly, this Gaga was still the star-struck Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta whose performances were heretofore confined to the New York underground.
