ELISABETTA CANALIS just told Hollywood celebrity news that her ex, GEORGE CLOONEY was nothing more than a father-figure to her. Ouch!
Either Elisabetta‘s still smarting from being replaced with Stacy Kiebler barely a couple of months after being dumped, or she really used old daddy George here to get her name out in Hollywood…
This new quote by Elisabetta can be found in a new book “Questo Amore” (“This Love”), by Italian journalist Bruno Vespa. Did Elisabetta put him up to this? This Vespa guy isn’t in love with her, is he?
Elisabetta, as we all know, was shown out the door to George Clooney’s largesse after she so openly expressed her desire to get married. And rumors have it their parting wasn’t exactly as smooth as glass. So, hell hath no fury, and all that?
“He has been special for me, and very important, just as a father would be,”
the Italian model and erstwhile “Dancing With The Stars” contestant is quoted as saying in the book.
“Between us there was more of a father-daughter relationship. I was unable to clarify this up ’til now.”
This is the first we’ve heard of it…and it’s not a first-person account either. So while we’d advise you to take it with a grain of salt, we’re still speculating about about that phenomenon of bachelorhood that is George Clooney.
Clooney, of course, has vowed never to get married again. What first (and only) wife Talia Balsam did to him that was so awful between the years of 1989 to 1993, we’ll never know.
