KISS rocker GENE SIMMONS has finally married longtime girlfriend SHANNON TWEED. Congratulations, you two!
Hollywood news has learned that Gene and Shannon, who have been dating for almost 30 years, have finally tied the knot. The couple made it official during a ceremony at the Beverly Hills hotel.
Gene and Shannon’s two kids, Nick and Sophie, sent out the invites, which read:
“After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot… Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father’s life…. well it doesn’t change that much.”
The couple’s big wedding was attended by 400 guests (good turnout, considering they only got engaged two months ago), which included celebrities such as Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, Bill Maher, and KISS guitarist Paul “The Starchild” Stanley.
When Gene, who once famously vowed that he would never marry, was asked why he decided to tie the knot with Shannon, he responded:
“It is time for me to grow up.”
Took him long enough!
