GWYNETH PALTROW is so classy, she entertains for royalty now. The “Contagion” actress was present at the launch of Mayfair’s The Arts Club which was hosted by no less than His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband and consort of Queen Elizabeth II. And guess what dear Gwyneth‘s role at the launch was? Why, she sang for the Prince, of course…
Granted, it isn’t the same as performing for the Queen herself…or *swoon* Princes William and Harry, but Gwyneth‘s probably one step away from being awarded The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (even if she isn’t British…but she did do a credible British accent for “Shakespeare In Love”, didn’t she?) and be known around town as Dame Gwyneth Paltrow, if you please. Nice feather on her upper crust cap, eh? It’ll increase traffic on her blog, Goop, in any case.
Entertainment news noticed that Gwyneth brought along pal, Cameron Diaz, who’s presently recovering from her breakup with Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez. Maybe Gwyn thought twirling champagne glasses and making eyes at the elderly Prince Philip would do Cam a world of good. We mean, hey Cam, becoming mistress to royalty is better than tagging along after a baseball player who insists you pump iron to get bionic arms like his ex, Madonna, eh?
So we’re thinking maybe Gwyneth is likely to be a mainstay during high profile charity events, particularly those given by their Royal Highnesses. So if you’ve a yen to hobnob with royal representatives of the British empire…do give Gwyneth a call…
