RUSSELL CROWE is playing Superman’s dad in “Man of Steel”, and he’s all decked out in a dress for his role as Jor-el, supreme ruler of Krypton. Hmmm…we’re thinking he’s pilfered Ron Weasley’s dress robes from “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, and thrown on the shoulder armor and cape from his “Robin Hood” wardrobe. Question is, will he have anything on Marlon Brando and his blindingly bleached white?
This latest Superman reboot is rumored to be one big budget mother, but by the looks of Jor-el’s dress, Hollywood celebrity websites are thinking producers have made some budget cuts along the way. Still, Russell Crowe‘s got some pretty big acting chops himself, and while he doesn’t exactly have Marlon Brando‘s classically succulent profile, he’s got an Oscar nomination under his belt to carry the part.
Just please, Russell Crowe, don’t give us any of your “Robin Hood” stuff. We’ll be happier if you give us a tamer version of “Gladiator”, and let Henry Cavill‘s Superman do all the heavy lifting…
