TARA REID, of all her fellow “American Pie” alumna, is pulling in the lowest salary for their comeback in “American Reunion”. It’s funny, really. Funny-pitiful, that is. She’s only getting $250,000 to make the movie. What do the producers have against Tara? Why even “American Pie” naked bit player Shannon Elizabeth will be making double what she’ll be getting.
A quarter of a million dollars may seem a lot to the rest of us poor mortals, but when the rest of your castmates are raking in millions for a sequel to a movie you had equal billing in 12 years ago, it doesn’t seem like the world’s playing fair, doesn’t it?
Celebrity news learned Jason Biggs and Sean William Scott, being the comic geniuses carrying the franchise, are understandably getting $5 million each. Bandcamper Alyson Hannigan (“say my name, b*tch!”) is receiving a cool $3 million, and the rest of the cast, including Chris Klein, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Natasha Lyonne and Thomas Ian Nicholas will get paid between $750,000 to $500,000 for the movie.
So what’s with poor Tara Reid and her measly two-fifty? It’s not like she hasn’t been working at all. There are a bunch of straight-to-video movies on her resume in the last 10 years since “American Pie 2″. Was it the boozing? The melting plastic stomach and lopsided boobs? Was it because she was kicked out of “Celebrity Big Brother” on the first round?
No one can tell for sure…
