And no, she doesn’t starve herself. Victoria’s Secret is all about curves, but that isn’t to say the models can get away with just about anything. Adriana herself ups her workouts to two times a day at the very least…
“It is really intense, it’s not really the amount of time you spend working out, it’s the intensity,”
the 30-year-old mother of one tells celebrity news.
“I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.”
Apart from her workouts, the Brazilian model starts a special diet nine days before the show itself. A nutritionist measures her body’s muscle mass, fat ratio and levels of water retention. Adriana only takes the prescribed protein shakes (including powdered egg), vitamins and supplements to keep her energy levels up during this training period of nine days…no solids whatsoever. She’ll drink a gallon of water everyday, as well.
“Two days before the show she will abstain from the gallon of water a day, and “just drink normally”. Then, 12 hours before the show she will stop drinking entirely.”
The nutritionist says.
“Any model in this world would love to be an Angel,”
Adriana insists, saying it’s all worth the effort.
“The Victoria’s Secret show is the highlight of my life. Becoming an Angel, once I achieved that, it was a dream come true for me.”
