According to the latest celebrity news, the estranged father of pop singer and “Glee” star CHARICE was reportedly stabbed to death with an ice pick by a random stranger in the Philippines.
Charice’s dad, Ricky Pempengco, was killed in a grocery store on Monday night after he accidentally bumped into a very drunk man, who immediately became infuriated and stabbed him with an ice pick.
Upon learning of her father’s untimely death, the YouTube sensation immediately cancelled her concert in Singapore to go back home to the Philippines. She tweeted:
“I am not going to be there to be part of David Foster and Friends concert… I have to go back to the Philippines as soon as possible to be with my family.”
Charice has been estranged from her father for a long time, but the singer explained on Twitter that before they had their falling out, she and her dad “had a really great relationship.” She added:
“I loved him and I will still love him. He’s still my Dad after all.”
