According to experts, LINDSAY LOHAN‘s legal troubles are costing California taxpayers millions of dollars, star news just heard. Her flitting in and out of court and jail for the last few years may have taken a toll on state coffers the former governator didn’t leave in such a good financial shape to begin with after he exited the office early this year…
Experts say Lindsay‘s current stint in jail cost taxpayers as much as $250,000 per hour of jail time. Just imagine the meter ticking if she did get to spend the requisite 30-day sentence the judge ordered instead of the mere four hours of time she did yesterday due to jail overcrowding.
For the record, Lindsay Lohan has made more than 20 court appearances since her initial arrest in 2007 for drunk driving. Add to that subsequent appearances from further arrests due to violating her probation, failing drug and alcohol screenings, and her blatant disregard for court orders, Lindsay‘s legal troubles have cost the State of California enough dough to keep the Duggar family, Kate Gosselin‘s family, and Octomom‘s family in relative comfort for a year.
“From logistics to the transcript reporters to the clerks, it is exorbitantly expensive to have a court appearance. It is important we understand what a waste of time this is,”
opined former federal prosecutor Michael Wildes of Wildes & Weinberg.
“It costs tens of thousands of dollars per court appearance for all the clerks, the security, and those court reporters who get paid by the page, not to mention all the collateral support for something like this. Plus it diverts the administration of justice for other matters.”
Attorney Vicky Ziegler added the clincher:
“It has likely cost taxpayers millions of dollars. This has been a four year ordeal that taxpayers in California must foot. That includes salaries for judges, prosecutors, court officers, court reporters, clerks, [and] other law enforcement professionals, who must all be paid, to have touched the Lohan case directly or indirectly in one shape or another.”
Oh, well. Just a day in the life of Lindsay Lohan and family. Can you just imagine what it cost taxpayers to run her dear old dad to the ground?

Soft Hollywood justice is alive and well. The sole purpose of state and federal law is not to benefit Hollywood. Harvey Weinstein bankrolled the political campaign if Hillary Clinton. It makes you think. How many complimentary tickets to the Hollywood casting couch have been issued to politicians and district attorney’s by Weinstein and the Hollywood elite? Is it the casting couch that have made Hollywood untouchable and above the law? This is food for thought.
