JENNIFER LOPEZ has been slammed by critics for her blatant Fiat Endorsement during her raunchy and barely dressed AMA performance.
It isn’t that J. Lo wore a one piece body suit with glitter glued in strategic places ala Britney Spears at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Star news thinks it had more to do with her co-star onstage during her performance. And we’re not talking about rapper Pitbull, whom she prodigiously ground herself against , either, but the white Fiat she’s been seen endorsing on television ads lately…
Does J. Lo have a serious case of Kardashianitis? Seriously, who else but someone from the Kardashian Klan would endorse a product during a performance onstage? And we don’t even think Jenny from the Block needs fame that bad. Fiat must be paying her a gazillion bucks to have pulled that stunt during the 2011 AMAs.
“Yo. I know I didn’t just see that dumb Fiat. I KNOW I didn’t just see that friggin’ Fiat.”
Fellow artist Questlove of Roots tweeted after J. Lo‘s performance.
“That had to be the most shameless thing I’ve ever seen in a performance. I was genuinely shocked.”
John Legend tweeted back.
“Jennifer Lopez gave what will surely be the most cringe-inducing, embarrassing performance of the night,”
one critic wrote in the Los Angeles Times.
“It wasn’t that Lopez wasn’t really wearing any clothes, as audiences expect that nowadays. Instead, it was Lopez’s choice of an accessory, which in this case was a car. When the actual commercial ran not too long after the performance, the only difference was the emphasis on the name of the brand.”
Surprisingly enough, the fact that the presence of ex-husband, Marc Anthony, who did a duet with Pitbull, and the fireworks expected to explode between the former couple didn’t even merit a single word in the tabloids, thanks to J. Lo and that white Fiat.
Take a look at this video and tell us what you think of J. Lo‘s performance with the car which appears at the 1:15 mark.
