According to the latest celebrity news, JUSTIN BIEBER’s alleged baby mama MARIAH YEATER could be facing an investigation for statutory rape… if she did indeed engage in sex with the teenage pop star, who was 16 at the time of the said tryst.
20-year-old Mariah Yeater shocked the world when she claimed that the father of her son, who is three months old, is none other than superstar Justin Bieber himself.
As previously reported, the young mother filed a paternity lawsuit against the singer after claiming that she had unprotected, 30-second sex with him last year, in a backstage bathroom at the Staples Center.
Unfortunately, if her claim turns out to be true, Mariah could be investigated for statutory rape, as Justin was (and still is) underage, which means she had sex with a minor. If proven, she may face a year in jail.
The L.A. Police Department says:
“If it’s brought to our attention, of course we’ll look into it.”
Fame is indeed a double-edged sword, huh? On one hand, if she’s proven right, Mariah gets her 15 minutes of fame and more than sufficient child support from Justin, who’s worth millions. On the other hand, she gets charged with statutory rape.
Oh well.
On a side note, if Mariah gets investigated because she’s older than the underage Biebs, would the police investigate Justin’s girlfriend Selena Gomez too? She’s nearly the same age as Mariah, after all…
