KATY PERRY morphed into an old woman for the music video of her song “The One That Got Away.” Does she make a convincing old lady?
With the help of pounds of special effects makeup, a white wig, and a very un-Katy-like wardrobe, Katy transformed into a much, much older version of herself for her video, which premiered last weekend.
In the music video, Katy (older Katy, that is) broods over the happy moments of her youth with the man she loved, who is played by Mexican actor Diego Luna.
We don’t want to ruin the whole story for you so we won’t go into specifics, but basically the video (and the song) is about someone missing the person they once truly loved, even after so many years.
Wait… do you think the guy she’s talking about in this song is her ex-boyfriend Travie McCoy? After all, they did date for a while before he “got away” two years ago.
Speculations aside, it’s quite a touching video, so you might want to ready the tissues.
