KIM KARDASHIAN has lawyered up to battle a former PR guy who is going around saying that her marriage was completely bogus. Kim hired MARTY SINGER, a top lawyer who is well known as a legal guard dog to the stars, to help her shut this guy up.
As previously reported by celebrity gossip websites, a man named Jonathan Jaxson has been spreading the rumor (or is it really just a rumor?) that Kim’s marriage to her soon-to-be-ex Kris Humphries was a total sham.
But why should we believe him? This guy, who claims to have done some PR work for Kim in the past, hasn’t even spoken to her in years. TMZ reports:
“…a source close to Kim tells us they worked together once, years ago, on a blog … and that Kim barely remembers who he is.
We’re told Kim is particularly baffled how Jaxson can talk about Kim‘s wedding plans … when she hasn’t spoken to him in years.”
Regardless if Jonathan’s claims are true or not, Kim feels she has the right to take him to court and put a muzzle on him (legally, of course) since he signed a confidentiality agreement with Kim years ago, during the time they worked together.
Obviously, his going around telling people that Kim’s wedding was staged is a violation of their agreement. The dark haired beauty, who feels that her reputation is being damaged by Jonathan’s words, wants at least $200,000 in damages.
At least.
Kim’s new lawyer, Marty Singer, tells TMZ:
“Everything that he is saying is false and nonsense … This guy is in it to promote himself for his 15 mins of fame.”
Meanwhile, Jonathan Jaxson says:
“I have never signed an agreement dealing with confidentiality with Kim Kardashian. I have an agreement in my possession that does not have either parties signature on it.”
