LADY GAGA plays a comatose mental patient in a disturbing and music-less teaser trailer for her new music video. We’ve seen Gaga play all sorts of things: from demons, to aliens, to mermaids, to androids, to biker chicks, to her alter ego Jo Calderone, and all other variations in between, but this is the first time we’ve actually seen her in a coma…with no music…and not singing…
Entitled “Marry The Night: The Prelude Pathetique,” the trailer is a teaser for a soon-to-be-announced full-length music video. According to Gaga, it’s set to be…
“the longest I’ve released to date…”
said to be eight minutes long and…
“beginning of the story I never told you.”
Uh, Gaga‘s trying to tell us she’s had electric shock treatments and has been lobotomized before?
The teaser offers not a single note of music, and all that’s heard is Gaga‘s voice in the background narrating what’s supposed to be the introduction to the video:
“I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened. It’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully the lie of it all is much more honest, because I invented it,”
Gaga says as her pale, unmoving form is wheeled by two nurses wearing gauze hats tilted at an angle just like berets, and white strappy, high-heeled Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Oddly enough, the patient on the gurney is wearing heels, as well.
