A judge has sentenced LINDSAY LOHAN to 30 days in the slammer after she pleaded guilty to violating the terms of her probation, star news has learned.
The recidivist actress, who wore a somber navy blue polka-dot dress, was eerily calm and accepting of her fate in the hands of justice, a far cry from her near hysterics a year ago when she was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her three-year long probation on a 2007 drunk driving charge…
Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner handed down the rather complicated judgement, which included more than 400 hours of community service at the county morgue, counseling sessions, and regular personal appearances in court to avoid further jail time.
In total, Lindsay was sentenced to 300 days jail time, and but she’d only be serving the additional 270 days in the slammer if she committed any further violations.
However, due to overcrowding at the jail (didn’t the warden just release a statement he’d been reserving a space for Lindsay inside?), the initial 30-day sentence may be shortened to only 6 days. But she can no longer leave the country and will be assigned to a really strict probation officer.
It really isn’t surprising Lindsay appeared all calm and collected during the sentencing. It’s been her fifth jail sentence since 2007, after all. But it’s a good thing she didn’t go the way of hysterics, or she may have risked the danger to her popularity infamy in the legal circuit to whom she probably is an already very familiar face by now.
Just serve your time, Lindsay. Complete your community service. Go through the requisite counseling. The sooner you put all of this behind you, the better you can start working on that dead career of yours. You’ve already reached the half century mark, after all, and you aren’t getting any younger.
We really don’t want to end up seeing you 10 years from now jumping from balconies and falling off trees like dear old dad…
