MICHELLE WILLIAMS recently revealed to Hollywood news that she keeps her hair extremely short as a “memorial” to her deceased ex, HEATH LEDGER. Apparently, Heath was one of the few straight men in the world that liked pixie cuts!
Michelle shocked everyone when she decided to cut her long locks for a super-short pixie ‘do, and she’s kept it short ever since, despite the fact that her daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger, doesn’t like it. The actress told British ELLE magazine:
“What Matilda would love is for her mom to grow out the cropped hair, though that’s unlikely to happen any time soon.”
So why does she keep it short? Michelle admitted:
“I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair and I wear it in memorial of somebody who really loved it.”
Obviously, Michelle is taking about her ex-boyfriend Heath, who died due to an accidental drug overdose back in 2008. But though she may have cut it for him, Michelle also revealed that she’s actually grown to love her short hair. She said:
“I’ve really grown into it. I feel like myself with short hair. And it’s been a really long time since I had long hair, five years.”
Michelle added:
“Of course, the only people who like it are gay men and my girlfriends… Straight men across the board are not into this hair!”
Except for Heath, of course.
Isn’t it sweet (and kind of heartbreaking) that Michelle keeps her hair short because Heath liked it that way?
