In recent Hollywood news, NICK CANNON has revealed that he gets pulled over every week… and he thinks it’s because he’s “a black man with a nice car.”
Huh???
Just a few hours ago, the father of two wrote on his Twitter account:
“Just got pulled over again. For the 1st time ever… The Cop let me go! He was a black man! ‘Preciate it Brotha!!”
The incident, which apparently awoke some deep-seated frustration Mr. Mariah Carey has always had with the police, inspired the actor to launch into a tirade about his unpleasant run-ins with the law, which he believes was due to the color of his skin. He wrote:
“Growing up, I never liked Cops. Always felt they were bullies. I guess I shouldn’t stereotype…”
Cannon added:
“At age 13 a Cop pulled me over on my bike with his gun drawn. What the hell did he think I was going to do? !”
If that’s true, then we can definitely understand where Nick is coming from. After all, what kid wouldn’t be traumatized by an experience like that?
Nick then tweeted:
“Now in LA I get pulled over like once a week. Honestly, I think it’s because I’m a Black man in a nice car. #KnowyourplaceBOY”
Do you think Nick is jumping to conclusions by viewing his frequent run-ins with the cops as a result of racial discrimination?
