Celebrity Fashion: ABIGAIL BRESLIN’s Marchesa Dress At “New Year’s Eve” Premiere… Hit Or Miss?
ABIGAIL BRESLIN walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest movie, “New Year’s Eve,” in a delicate Marchesa dress from the brand’s Fall 2011 collection.

Abigail donned an ethereal, knee-length Marchesa dress bathed in swathes of tulle and crystal embellishments—a very classic Marchesa look. Another interesting detail about the dress is that the skirt is supported by a petticoat, which is visible underneath the tulle fabric.
As for hair and makeup, Abigail knocks it out of the park with a romantic half-up-half-down ‘do, smokey blue eye makeup, rosy cheeks, and pinkish-coral lips.
Now, we really want to love the dress and say that Abigail looks perfect, but we just can’t. There’s something off. The top half Is very pretty, but the jagged hemline of the skirt looks sloppy, and the high waistline makes it a bit unflattering, figure-wise.
And then there’s the fact that you can’t really decide if it’s a gown or a cocktail dress… very weird.
So… thumbs up or thumbs down?
