Entertainment news has learned that New Jersey Nets coach AVERY JOHNSON thinks NBA fans should continue booing KRIS HUMPHRIES. And no, he has nothing against Kris.

So why does he want them to boo one of his players? Simple. It’s because Kris Humphries himself said that the incessant booing and jeering is “motivation” for him… and hey, if it helps him play better, why not?

Kris tells The Record:

“People were talking crazy last year… There might be a little bit more this year, but to me, it’s motivation.”

He adds:

“People are yelling at you, you know you have to go and perform, go and play hard.”

Coach Johnson, meanwhile, says:

“I’m trying to figure it out — what did he do? I’m serious. Maybe because I don’t follow reality TV. I don’t know all the ins and outs of it, but it’s pretty hilarious to me. I don’t know if they even know why they’re booing him.”

It’s probably because most of the fans hate the Kardashian family, and his name is practically synonymous with their most famous member, Kim Kardashian (whom he was married to for 72 days).

Or maybe they all believe that he’s an awful person, based on the latest season of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” where he is being portrayed as a bad husband because Kim allegedly wants to make herself seem the “victim” in their failed marriage.

Nonetheless, Coach Avery Johnson jokes:

“Keep booing him, we’ll take the 20 and 16.”

Heard that? You can go ahead and keep booing Kris Humphries, people! You’d actually be doing him—and his team—a favor!
