JUSTIN BIEBER has filmed a very reasonable message for his young female fans’ dads…better their daughters scream his name than bang the guy next door.
Sensible, right?
Because what could be more reasonable than having your little girl swoon over an androgynous-looking teenage pop star who’s had the distinction of allegedly fathering a baby with of a fan? Beats having your daughter sneaking out in the middle of the night to hook up with some neighborhood punk or the boy she’s secretly dating at school, right?
“Hey Dad, it’s Justin, your daughter wanted us to chat. I feel like we got off on the wrong foot, I mean I get it, I’m a huge mega star, I got a full head of hair…”
the “Baby” singer’s video begins by pointing out his obvious attributes.
“But it could be a lot worse. Think about it. Guys her age… Well, remember when you were her age? Yeah, exactly… I’m a great distraction. She won’t even think about him and someday you might even thank me.”
And with that he sprays an anonymous daughter’s blank photo with his signature “Someday” fragrance.
Oh, we get it! It’s an advertisement disguised as an infomercial. Clever, Justin!
Is “Someday” not selling as well as he’d hope? But star news heard the perfume’s been named “Fragrance of The Year” for 2011 at the Women’s Wear Daily Beauty Inc. Awards earlier this month. After all, didn’t it make a record $3 million in sales just three weeks after it’s debut in June, topping even Jennifer Lopez‘s “Glow” and Britney Spears‘ “Curious?”
It’s been hailed as the biggest celebrity fragrance in history!
Or maybe that’s exactly why Justin had to do the infomercial…because dads everywhere are up in finally arms at having to shell out up to $55 for their daughters to scream out Justin‘s name while going around smelling like a mish-mash of fruits.
“So next time you hear her scream my name, relax. It’s better than hearing her scream ‘Joey’ who lives next door. Am I right?”
Right, dads? Right?
