KENDALL JENNER recently covered the 2012 issue of TeenPROM Magazine, where she says she thinks people can be really mean.
You bet your sweet 16-year-old behind, Kendall! And because you’re part of the much-maligned Kardashian Klan, we bet you know exactly what you’re talking about.
Up-and-coming model Kendall, who began her catwalk career at the Sheri Hill Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week in September talks about what’s it like being one of the objects of all that collective hate against her family, how she grew up in front of the cameras, and her burgeoning career as a model…
“[They tell me] not to listen to what other people say because people are mean,”
Kendall explains in the magazine.
“I just don’t look at the Internet and what people say because it can bring you down.”
Kendall and her 14-year-old sister, Kylie, make regular appearances on the family reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” and it wasn’t always smooth sailing in the beginning.
“I used to be really shy around the cameras when we started filming, but I think Kylie and I are both used to it now,”
she tells the magazine.
“It’s normal for us.”
Kendall, who’s 5’9″ tall, is currently hard at work on her budding modelling career and relates she “was really, really nervous and scared” during her runway debut, but received a lot of support from her big family.
“I was like, ‘What if my walk isn’t right?’ [My sisters] told me, ‘You’ll be fine, you’ll do great,’ and that made me feel so much better,”
“They said, ‘Be you, have fun with it, be confident.’ Once I got out there, I felt more comfortable. When the lights are up, you can’t really see the audience, which made it a little better. I had a lot of fun — I want to do it again.”
And guess who Kendall looks up to for inspiration…
“My three older sisters [Kourtney, Kim and Khloé] inspire me the most,”
“‘I pull [my style] from each of them.”
Does that mean we’ll be seeing Kendall featuring prominently in tabloid intrigues while all decked out in animal prints in the near future?
