KEVIN FEDERLINE says he’s “really happy” about BRITNEY SPEARS and JASON TRAWICK’s engagement. Awww… now isn’t that nice of him?

Britney and her former manager (and now fiancé) Jason Trawick got engaged a few days ago, and of course, Hollywood celebrity gossip sites had to get K-Fed’s reaction to the news. Surprisingly, despite the bitter divorce and custody battle he and Brit-Brit went through, it was a positive one.

Federline told Australia’s TV Week magazine:

“I’m really happy for her… I think he’s a great guy.”

The former Mr. Britney Spears, who is currently in Australia filming a reality show called “Excess Baggage,” added:

“She’s happy; she’s doing really well. I want to say she’s in a good place… I haven’t spoken to her much since I’ve been over here, both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids’ teachers that they’re doing really good.”

Kevin also had nothing but nice things to say about Jason, Britney’s betrothed. He said:

“He’s a really good guy, I’ve heard a lot about him. . . I’ve spoken to him quite a few times as of now. He seems like a really good guy. The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him.”

If you’re wondering why the former rapper is being so gracious… well… we believe it’s because he himself has found love—true love, even—with present girlfriend Victoria Prince, with whom he had his fifth child (the first two were with ex Shar Jackson, and the other two with Britney). Kevin shared:

“It’s really good once you’re able to move on with life. I mean, Victoria‘s the best person in the world. It took me going through the things that I went through to find a person like her… She’s more than I could ever have hoped for. Hopefully Britney feels the same way [about Jason].”
